2.2.8: Clear cell formatting

You can use the Clear tool in the Editing group on the Home tab to clear cell formatting and contents. Clear Formats leaves behind content, comments, and hyperlinks but removes formatting; Clear Contents leaves behind formats, comments, and hyperlinks but removes content; Clear Comments only removes comments attached to the cell; Clear Hyperlinks removes the hyperlink but leaves behind the content and formatting, including the underline and color; Remove Hyperlink removes the hyperlink and hyperlink formatting.

2.3.1: Define a named range

Defining a named range makes formulas much easier to understand and maintain because you can use the name in a formula instead of using a reference. You can define a name for a single cell, range of cells, function, constant, or table. You can define a name by using the Name Box in the upper-left corner of the workspace, the Define Name button, or the Name Manager.

2.3.2: Name a table

The Freeze Panes tool lets you keep certain rows and columns always visible as you move throughout the worksheet. You can freeze just the top row and just the first column, or you can use the Freeze Panels tool to free more than that. When using the Freeze Panes tool, every row above and every column to the left of your selection will be frozen.

2.4.3: Remove conditional formatting

You can remove conditional formatting from the same menu where you apply it. You can remove the rules for the conditional formatting for the selected cells, the entire sheet, the table, or the PivotTable.
